When we work with you to design your steel structure, our experienced team spends a substantial amount of time, prior to the commencement of your project, understanding your needs, how the building will be used, and the environmental conditions in which the structure will reside.

That is why B&T’s detailing department makes use of Tekla Structures. Tekla Structures is a visual 3D modelling package that provides the most accurate and integrated way to manage detailing of all the steel structures we design and erect. Our structural design team is capable of getting to the bottom of complex design issues and arriving at inspired solutions that have a positive and innovative impact on all our projects
Tekla makes use of an open BIM (Building Information Modelling) approach, which allows us to integrate Tekla with our other production planning systems, ensuring delays are avoided and the right steel elements are always delivered and erected on time. Our knowledge, expertise and experience in steel structural detailing guarantees on-time deliveries and significant cost savings.
Essentially we create a detailed 3D structure of your steel structure – whether it is a shed or a stadium. This method is extremely accurate since it allows us to inspect the steelwork before it is fabricated. It also creates a better understanding of the project and allows for smooth co-ordination between different departments and contractors working on the structure.
Our erection drawings portray detailed dimensioned plans and specify the location of each steel component within your overall structure, the requirements for installing them and all the associated field work such as installing bolts, wedge anchors and welding spots.

At B&T Steel we design, fabricate, transport and assemble large, cost-effective, custom size steel structures. Our quoting process is thorough and accurate, no matter how complex the project, and there are no hidden costs.
Please Note: We do not complete custom size steel structures that are less than 500m2 in size.
